I can't remember what yahoo board this was on but i promised i would look into the answer about carrying over UBTI in an IRA. I contacted client services with Charles Schwab and while the person i spoke with could have used a personality bypass he did confirm to me that UBTI losses are carried foward into future years. So at least for me in my IRA it will be a long time before i have to worry about it.
