New highs for the day approaching a 1.50 gain and over 273!
11:57AM Kinder Morgan Prtnrs acquires pipelines from Knight (KMP) 57.55 -0.31 : Co announces it has acquired two pipeline systems from Knight, the private entity which owns the general partner of KMP. The purchase includes Knight's one-third interest in the Express-Platte crude oil pipeline systems that run from Alberta to Illinois and a jet fuel pipeline that serves the Vancouver, British Columbia, airport. KMP paid Knight ~2 mln KMP units (~$116 mln) for the assets.
It took a couple of days but the GP's are starting to catch some nice bids. The shipping MLP's (KSP, TGP, CPLP) is the next sector that is due to play catch up; they are still near their lows.
Guys-Although it feels good to see the MLPs and GPs in rally-mode, I have a hard time believing that we are out of the woods. I do hope so as its been a terrible 12 months.

ReplyDeleteI agree. These wild swings on light volume are suspect. Let's enjoy 'em while they last.
