Crude oil is imploding down $4.68 as of this posting and the MLP index is up 1.22 while big energy is down today and the overall market is up. The dollar rally is very strong and i think this is boosting mlps with their high yields rather than seeing weakness from the energy patch. This as intererst rates are rising. The 10 year is at 4.11 up 10 basis points.

Most mlps are higher today with the few losers down small fractions. Nustar (NS) is down 47 cents as the biggest major loser. Winners include Kinder Morgan (KMP) Calumet (CLMT) Plains All American (PAA) Holly (HEP) among others showing some nice fractional gains. No outstanding big winners but the tape is moving in the right direction.

Finally seeing oil crack along with everything else commodity driven.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide. I'm entering in my k1s in turbo tax business and they only allow up to 30 k1's. Is there better software or a way to get around this? Thanks.

30 is the limit...i had the same problem and had to manually add the additional K-1s. A real pain in the ass.

I've emailed intuit about this. Suggest you do the same.

you guys overdiversify, why would you want to own over 30 different mlp's? when the stocks in this sector move more or less in tandem. The higher quality ones like epd and apu actually outperform implying a highly diversified mlp strategy is unneccessary

i have a core group that i hold and i also trade them.

if you want to trade, trade slb,oih and xom or pds or aav for lower priced securities

no...i trade these and have quite successfully for years because i understand how they trade and am able to take advantage on day to day distortions due to their relative illiquidity.

I have also had the same problem.
I also had to manually add additional K-1s. That means you have to mail your tax papers in to the IRA instead of wiring them in. I e-mailed intuit about it to. Maybe if enough of us e-mail them, they will do something about are problem.
