a blog dedicated to the discussion of MASTER LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS and the day to day news related to the group...along with perhaps a few other things...as long as the conversation is kept civil. Although i have no problem telling you what i am doing regarding my trades...PLEASE DON'T ASK ME WHAT YOU SHOULD DO REGARDING WHETHER TO BUY, SELL OR SHORT!!! i am not in the stock business.

She was certainly game.
I think Curlin (and Hard Spun for that matter) made a mistake by sitting behind that slow pace. Curlin should have sent out to the lead - the pace still would have been slow - and he likely would have held on.
In Hard Spun had run anywhere near the same fractions as the KD and P, he would have been 15 lengths ahead. He may not have been good enough to last, but he would have had a better shot than as it turned out.
Ah well - hindsight is 20-20.
i watched the race again and again and the pace was glacial in the first 6 furlongs...thought i was watching a turf race where nothing happens until the head of the stretch.
Curlin really impressed me! He fought and passed her twice in the stretch. Rags to Riches was absolutely resolute. I think this triple crown sequence was the best in years.
Now i'm hoping they take her next to the CC American Oaks here at Belmont closing weekend and then head for Saratoga and the Travers!
Yes, I am hoping they let all of these horses continue to race versus taking them to the breeding shed.
It's been a great 3-yr old season. Would love to see these young ones hook up with the older horses in the BC.
