Quiet open with a few standouts. Hiland Partners continues to rally on its buy of its affiliate and a projection of a 2.50 annual distribution. Stock + 1.62. Copano is + 1.02 on thin volume. Fractional plusses seem to cover the rest of the group. One or two stocks down pennies.
XOI and XNG up this morning. Inventory numbers will probably control the trade in the energy complex all day.

most of these companies are the pipelines that deliver the stuff so they make money dependant on volume rather than the actual price. But some have their hands in both. Atlas Pipeline for example has gas wells that are going to be impacted by the price of nat gas...but they have their positions hedged out a few years. Each company may have "tentacles" in other factions of oil and gas but that would vary from company to company.
