MUSCLE GETS BLOOD

I have some personal stuff going on today so no blogging for me until this evening. But it looks like a big rally on the fed moves and MLPS should move with them. Blog later

nothing good can happen till liquidity returns to market. can't seem to understand the happiness over Spitzer's problems. He was the only guy looking to keep the wall st. insiders from ripping off the little guys like us.

Spitzer was--and is--a vicious, venal barricuda. And, now we know he is a hypocrite, too. Like many federal prosecutors, he abused his power by crucifying people in the most arrogant and sadistic way possible--usually for his own political purposes.

One of the things that needs fixing is the federal prosecution system. There are inadequate checks and balances and prosecutors can and do regularly ruin peoples' lives. And they do so with the full and unlimited resources of the federal government behind them.

I am sure that there are some fair and decent prosecutors out there, but the unchecked potential for abuse is huge.

MLP's lagging the market badly today.

Spitzer is a hypocrite and he needs to resign ASAP.

all you virtuous guys. How many bachelor parties have you gone to?

How do you equate a sitting State Governor getting caught paying for a prostitute to a bachelor party?

How many bachelor parties have you gone to where a married Governor was screwing a hooker, after wiring money to a handler, to pay for her transportation and services rendered, to using an alias, probably travelling there on state money...

It's not about our virtue. He decided to run for office and hold himself up as a shining light. Don't forget he used to be the State DA-he knows the rules-he got caught.

You are a moron!

"The AMZ is up. What exactly are you referring to ?"

The Alerian is up 0.6% on the day due largely to the disproportionate weight given to KMP and EPD in the index. The vast majority of MLPs are flat or down on a day when the S&P was up nearly 4%! If you think that today was anything but a miserable day for the MLPs, you are mistaken my friend.

...since they're up today, then I guess today's circumstances would fit.

"The vast majority of MLPs are flat or down..."

All you have to do is look at the ticker (above), to see that most are up today.

Wow, another person seems to have been staring at the AMZ ticker on his screen SO intently that he missed the complete underperformance of the AMZ vs. S&P (or any other index, for that matter).

To make it simple:
S&P up 3.71% today
AMZ up .56%

To put it another way, S&P up almost SEVEN times the AMZ

So....YES, the MLP's were up today.
Just, that only ONE SEVENTH of a decent equities portfolio.

Keep in mind that the AMZ is not a market-weighted composite average of all publicly-traded energy MLPs, nor is it any kind of average of all publicly-traded energy MLPs. It is a hand-picked index. Go to Alerian Capital Management's website for details on its composition.
