This is a follow-up to Max's comment and Joe's reply from yesterday. I have purchased a couple of MLPs immediately after they announced new offerings and have been pleased with the results. As Joe noted, the price goes down a few percent upon the announcement, but tends to go back up within a week or two. Seems reasonable to me that the new money increases the likelihood future distributions will increase, or at least not decrease.
