Morning headlines...BIG distribution boosts for holders of Hiland (HLND) and Hiland Holdings (HPGP). Also we have earnings and distribution info from Nustar (NS). Regency Partners (RGNC) lifts its payout.

Anonymous said...: If I understand the press reports correctly (and I may not), NS actually missed but raised its dividend by about 7%. As a result the unit price is up.

joewxman said...: Usually if mlps blow the earnings estimate it has little impact. Distributable cash flow and distriubtion increases are the important drivers.

Anonymous said...: When the Bloomberg report came out of a computor snafu ( shutting down bith stock and options trading )on the AMEX, the Dow was down about 190 points.

Within 20 -30 minutes the Dow rallied about 100 points to -90 or so. Could it be that with DIA and SPY not being shorted, that took some pressure off the indicies.
